Dad, what's your favorite color?

In one of my books there is a poem about the infamous color yellow. Here's a quick clip:
There are many, many things
that wear this bright fellow.
Thank you for making them special,
you beautiful color yellow.
Put's a smile on your face, right?
The motivation behind this poem was because yellow is one of my kids favorite colors. This was a pretty fun topic to write about. The final poem in the book touches on all of the topics included in the book and admit the yellow portion of that book was one of my favorite parts.
The story tells of a yellow house, yellow floors, yellow doors, yellow video games and on and on. It was one of the more exciting flows in the book. Sort of reminded me of Dr. Seuss going on and on how he often does in his books.
Aside from the fun of writing about it, I would have done a huge disservice if I did not put it in there. Anyone who has kids has went through the "what's your favorite color stage." Numerous times being asked about the color even though is always the same answer. Also numerous times being told what their favorite color is as well. "Dad, my favorite color is yellow."
Constantly hearing about, "Oh look that is yellow, that is my favorite color." Or, "Dad that is blue, that is your favorite color." And of course there is the point that anything matching the favorite color is automatically assumed to be owned by such kid who claims the favorite color. "It's mine, it's yellow."
Is a moment in the family that does cause annoyance at times but one of those things you look back on as they get older and miss the stage. My yellow loving daughter doesn't talk as much about it as she used to, but her younger brother has followed in stride reaching his favorite color stage of green. Hulk Smash green to be precise.
So, what is your favorite color might I ask, mine's blue?
