Man, Mark, those pictures are so unique and so modern. I see so many things as we deeply observe the illustrations within your books. They are so, how do you say, daring.

Well before you wonder when the art show will begin, as I know they are so fantastic. My kids drew all the pics in my book. Except for my wife did help out with the cover on the first Poems about book. She drew the unicorns and I added the fine green grass, sun, and clouds. I know, I can rhyme and draw a killer sun.

When I started writing my first Poems About book, I was telling my sister about the awesome title and let her read some of the humorous poetry that will no doubt be a classic children's read for centuries to come. I explained how all of the poems had something to do with the different likes of the children or just goofy stuff I would say to them at times.

It was at that moment a statement in literary history would be made. Years from now people will tell the story about the images found in this instant classic. My sister said I should have my kids draw the pictures. Brilliant!

Aside from my joking about the books being instant classics, it really was a clever idea. It also made it so much more fun to publish the book as the kids all got to be a part of it. Really made the book a family project.

Who knows, maybe some day they can sell the originals for millions and be next to some other fancy paintings. I mean look at the soccer ball below by my at the time 2 year old. (His older sister may or may not have helped with the circle) He has some potential I must say.
